[Veritas Alpha=Reporter Dabin Jeong] Kyungsung University's LINC 3.0 Business Group announced on the 13th that it had won the New Challenge Award in the Excellence Exhibition Hall category at the '2023 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO' for the fourth consecutive year. Hosted by the Ministry of Education and organized by the National Research Foundation of Korea, the '2023 Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO', with the participation of a total of 315 universities/companies/related organizations, was held at the Daejeon Convention Center for three days from the 8th to the 11th. This year's 'Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO' presented various programs such as the Results Exhibition Hall, forums, competitions, and briefing sessions. Kyung Sung University, which was honored with the New Challenge Award in the Excellence and Exhibition Hall category, operated the 'LINC 3.0 Family Business Product Home Shopping' exhibition hall, in which it has been participating for four years, and the 'Eco-friendly 3D digital fashion show using VR virtual reality (RE:D (Re:Digital))' exhibition hall, which was a collaboration between the Department of Fashion Design and three family businesses (G-Motion Co., Ltd., CA PLANET Co., Ltd., Fluxity Co., Ltd.).

'LINC 3.0 Family Business Product Home Shopping' is a collaborative program between universities and family businesses. The video was produced by Kyung Sung University XR Studio with a home shopping concept to promote/sell family business products from 15 universities nationwide. In addition to appearing in the program as a show host and demonstration, students directly participated in the entire planning/production process, including scenario composition, filming, and editing. In addition, our university's 'LINC 3.0 Family Business Product Home Shopping' was selected for the VIP target business-specific representative performance exhibition of 9 items, and a presentation was made by Seong Yeol-moon, the head of the LINC 3.0 business unit. The 'Eco-friendly 3D digital fashion show using VR virtual reality' jointly produced by Kyung Sung University's Fashion Design Department (Responsible Professor: Chae Hee-joo) and family businesses was planned to solve environmental issues that always arise in the fashion industry. The virtual clothing simulation directly managed by the Fashion Design students attracted much attention from visitors on the day of the event. Students who participated in the 'Industry-Academic Cooperation EXPO' said that through the project, their ability to create fashion products using digital technology was improved and that it was a rewarding experience to take a step into the digital fashion market.

Seong Yeol-mun, head of the LINC 3.0 business division at Kyung Sung University, said, "I am deeply moved that our university has been honored with an award at the 'Industry-Academia Cooperation EXPO' for four years in a row. Just like previous years, our university hosted two programs (LINC 3.0 family business product home shopping and an eco-friendly 3D digital fashion show using VR virtual reality), and it is especially touching that many universities and companies participated in this, which feels like our concerns and efforts for industry-academia cooperation have been recognized." He added, "We will continue to focus our university's capabilities on industry-academia cooperation."
