[Reporter Jang Seul-gi, Laon Newspaper] Lasara Fashion Vocational School (hereinafter referred to as Lasara) held the 2023 3rd Fly High! 3D VIRTUAL Creative Design Contest (with z-emotion & CA PLANET) and an awards ceremony at the school on the 21st.

Starting with the 1st Lasara Fly high! Drawing & Styling Contest in 2021, the 2nd Lasara & Everyone's New Fly High! Contest in 2022, and the 3rd Fly High! 3D VIRTUAL Creative Design Contest (with z-emotion & CA PLANET) in 2023, it was planned to discover creative works and help digitalize the fashion industry as a process for fashion designers to take a leap forward with their dreams in the digital age.

In the process of this contest, 26 participants were selected as TOP 26 out of all participants and passed the first round, and through the second round of 3D VIRTUAL virtual creative design work evaluation, a total of 10 winners were selected: 2 Rasara Awards, 2 CA PLANET Awards, 2 z-emotion Awards, 2 3rd place awards, 1 2nd place award, and 1 1st place award.

Kim Bo-hyeon (Chonnam National University), the first place winner who received a cash prize of 1 million won and a 6-month program license, presented a total of 6 clothing designs with the theme of 'GREEN-FASHION' that contained a message of loving the environment and encouraging eco-friendly consumption by utilizing eco-friendly materials and discarded materials as sustainable designs that contribute to ocean protection.

The second place winner, Jihyun Park (Kyunggi University of Science and Technology), who was awarded 500,000 won in prize money and a 6-month program license, presented two designs with the theme of 'K-FASHION' that harmoniously interpreted the beauty of tradition and modernity by sublimating the retro yet modern beauty of Korea into hanbok, focusing on the revival of Y2K fashion.

In addition, the 3rd place winners who are given a cash prize of 300,000 won and a 3-month program license were Shin Yun-ji (Kyungsung University) and Yoon Dong-gi (Rasara Fashion Vocational School). The z-emotion Award, which is given a cash prize of 100,000 won and a 1-year program license, was awarded to Kim Hye-rim (Kyungsung University) and NG KA HIN (Hong Kong Design Institute). The CA PLANET Award, which is also given a cash prize of 100,000 won and a 1-year program license, was awarded to Kim Hyeon-jin (Sejong University) and Heo Yi-je (Hanyang Women's University). The Rasara Award, which is given a cash prize of 300,000 won for the Rasara Fashion Academy, was honored to Choi Ji-young (Hanyang Women's University) and Han Su-hyeon (Shanghai Fudan University).

The winners said, “It was a great experience to be able to express my work using the 2D fashion CAD engine ‘ UTTU CAD ’ and the 3D clothing design program ‘z-weave’.”
