Kyung Sung University (President Jong-geun Lee) Fashion Design Department held the 'Kyung Sung Met Gala Show on a Summer Night'. The show was inspired by the 'Met Gala', a charity fundraising event held by the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York every year. It featured a 3D digital fashion show that reinterpreted past Met Gala costumes in a Korean style, and operated various booths to create a free-spirited party that not only Kyung Sung University students but also faculty, staff, and local residents could enjoy together.

This show was planned and participated by 16 3rd and 4th year Fashion Design students (Kwon Yeon-woo, Kim Ga-eun, Kim Kyeong-eun, Kim Do-eun, Kim Yun-ho, Kim Hye-rim, Nam Deok-yeong, Park So-min, Son Ki-hyun, Shin Yun-ji, Lee Min-jeong, Lee Seung-ha, Lee Hee-jin, Jeong Hye-jin, Jo Ye-jin, and Choi Mi-rae) who are taking the LINC 3.0 Business Group’s Industry-Academia-Research CHANNEL Capstone Design course, and presented a 3D digital fashion show based on 8 costumes that reinterpreted the Met Gala costumes in a Korean style. To produce a 3D digital fashion show video, '2D UTTU CAD (UTTU CAD)' from CA PLANET Co., Ltd. and 'Z-WEAVE', a 3D fashion simulation program from G-Motion Co., Ltd. were used.

In addition to the screening, there were band performances, snack booths offering traditional Korean snacks, and traditional games such as wish trees and jegichagi. In addition, events such as selecting the best dresser among the participants of the 'Met Gala' dress code and a prize drawing were held, which received a great response from the participants.

Professor Chae Hee-joo of the Fashion Design Department, who was in charge of the overall planning of the show, said, “Our university is also trying to provide students with continuous education and related projects so that fashion can smoothly transition to digital. I think it was an opportunity for the students to experience a true capstone design project in that they went through all the processes including overall work planning and design, production, budget planning, video directing, marketing, and promotion.” In addition, Fashion Design Department students Kim Hye-rim (4th year), who was in charge of the overall planning, and Kim Gyeong-eun (4th year), who is the planning team leader, said, “There were many things that were difficult while carrying out our first outdoor project, but it was fun to produce and screen a video using 3D works that we made ourselves. I would like to thank the team members who worked with us and Professor Chae Hee-joo for directing.” In particular, we collaborated with Kyungsung University’s central club band ‘Yeoun,’ and the 22 team members created a richer atmosphere by playing the acoustic guitar and piano and singing. Seongwan Seo (3rd year), a business administration student and president of the 'Yeoun' club, said, "This was a great experience for the club members as it was a rare opportunity to busk on campus. We chose soft songs to suit the time of the night party, and we were able to radiate positive energy thanks to the great response from those who participated."

Meanwhile, this show was sponsored and provided with product support by LINC 3.0 Business Group, G-Motion Co., Ltd., CA PLANET , designer brand 'DOUCAN', and A-Village (Siheung, Hanam, Suwon) CEO Seok Hae-min, making it a show that added enjoyment to the university members and local residents.
